Natchez Pastry Chef Claims Best in Cake Design and Baking Titles at Mississippi Magazine’s Best of Weddings Contest

Molly Manning Robertson, the talented pastry chef and cake designer out of Natchez, MS made a huge splash at the annual Mississippi Magazine Best of Weddings Contest, claiming Best of 2024 awards in both cake design and baking categories.

Since 2021, Molly has been a part of the Mississippi Magazine’s exclusive M List of top five cake designers and bakers throughout the entire state – a testament to her skill.

The increased exposure due to her participation in the nine season of Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship, and making it all the way to the finale had a part in the readers throughout the state voting her as the Best of 2024.

Molly is currently focused on designing and baking wedding cakes, and is also planning upcoming cookie classes at Smoot’s in Natchez.

The classes are themed after Mardi Gras (January 23rd) and Valentine’s Day (February 13th). The cost per class is $45, which can be booked by calling Molly directly (870-540-6249).

Although there are no current plans with the Food Network, Molly is open to the possibility of participating again under the right circumstances.
